Well after closing on house. Having to buy new truck (really didn't but good excuse) to pull trailer. I made it in Sunday evening. Took until today to get a place to live. This is way different area than what I am used to, as there isn't an apartment complex on every corner. All the buildings and everything different and I love it here (So far all of the little I have seen of New England) Still a Bronco fan though and that won't change. Anyway, got an apartment on the Fore River, and directly across from Old Port part of town. Great view and may stay here forever. Rent is alot more here, but that was expected. Go to Bourgeois in the morning to meet Dana and all of the guys and to see what will be doing and then start building. Friend who works there, although not sure, thought I would start off working with the guy who does the tops, backs, bracing and voicing. I am considered a "volunteer employee/apprentice for education purposes", so will get to do it all if I understand the term" That is for a few months and then see where goes from there. Although thought would come and stay a few weeks and see how it shakes, I with push from wife just decided to pull up and move here, with idea it will work (positive thinking thing) If not, it will be a year long vacation, as I signed a lease. Thing is and not to sound full of myself, I know I will be able to do the work, and get along with everyone. Excited to get started, and will keep advised as go along (if anyone really interested) I plan on off time going to a NEL meeting and meet some of you, and if works out, drive to DC area and ASIA thing.
Well just a post since haven't been around for awhile
Stan Thomison

Thats great Stan. Your going to have to keep us up to date on your experiences. You are doing something a lot of us wish we could do. Any excuse for a new truck is good for me.

Welcome to N.E. Stan! I'm one of your neighbors in southern New Hampshire. Look forward to meeting you at an NEL meeting. I spend alot of time in Maine and there is lots of different scenery up there to keep you busy. Watch your pocketbook up there though it's a tad expensive and if you get the chance slip over to New Hampshire for tax free shopping.

Stan, thats awesome....good for you.

I think you will really like living in Portland. The Old port area that you are in, is a great location.
My X used to go to school at U.S.M. and we lived in Portland for 2 years, i was up in the back bay and love the city.

Good luck in your new life, and congrats for taking a such a big step.

I want to come visit you!

Matt
